The Austin Burns Supper :: February 4th, 2012

A Night of Whisky and Rhyme
Every winter, groups around the globe sit down to a time honored celebration to recognize the works and life of Scotland’s National Bard, Robert Burns.
The evening, known as a Burns Supper, includes speeches reverent and irreverent (if done correctly),music, poems and dancing.
Of course, the main event is the meal! The haggis is brought in via piper and adulation with a hearty recitation of Burns’ Address to the Haggis. This event will include a 3 course meal:
Cock-a-leekie Soup
Steak Pie (Vegetarian Option Available)
Neeps & Tatties
Scotch Trifle for dessert.
This newly hatched soiree presented by the Texas Highlanders will be held
at The Crowne Plaza located 6121 I35 North at 290.

Seating begins at 6:30pm and the events starts promptly at 7:00pm.

This plated banquet will feature poetry, music and commentary of Robert Burns with music by:
Ed Miller,Jeff Moore with fiddler Chris Buckley of the Tea Merchants and Jeffrey Jones Ragona.

Special guest host: Kieron Elliott from SpikeTV's Deadliest Warrior
